Size Chart
Born To Glam carries clothing from many independent brands, so sizing can vary by style. When a manufacturer provides measurements or fit notes, we include them in the product description. Otherwise, use this guide as a general starting point—not a guaranteed product measurement.
General alpha sizes
| Label | Approx. U.S. size |
|---|---|
| XS | 0–2 |
| S | 4–6 |
| M | 8–10 |
| L | 12–14 |
| XL | 16–18 |
| 2XL | 18–20 |
| 3XL | 20–22 |
Understanding denim sizes
Jeans may use junior odd sizes, standard U.S. sizes, waist-number labels, alpha sizes, or combined labels.
| Junior | Waist label | U.S. misses |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 25 | 0 |
| 3 | 26 | 2 |
| 5 | 27 | 4 |
| 7 | 28 | 6 |
| 9 | 29 | 8 |
| 11 | 30 | 10 |
| 13 | 31 | 12 |
| 15 | 32 | 14 |
This conversion is approximate. Brand grading, rise, fabric and stretch affect fit. A waist-number label such as 27 may not equal the garment’s exact physical measurement.
Choosing jeans and bottoms
- Stretch: rigid or low-stretch denim is less forgiving; sizing up is usually safer when between sizes.
- Rise: high-, mid- and low-rise styles sit at different points, so the same label can feel different.
- Hips and thighs: choose for your fullest area if your waist and hips suggest different sizes.
- Length: cropped, ankle and full-length cuts look different depending on height.
- Cut: skinny, straight, flare, barrel, bootcut and wide-leg styles are designed to fit differently.
Jackets and outerwear
- Start with your usual top size.
- Size up for sweaters or multiple layers.
- When between sizes, size up for structured, fitted or non-stretch jackets.
- Relaxed and oversized jackets are intentionally roomier.
- If it must button or zip comfortably, choose based on your fullest bust measurement.
How to check your fit at home
Compare the style with a similar item you already own and love. For your body, measure the fullest bust, natural waist, fullest hips and seat, inseam from crotch seam to hem, and shoulders across the back. Keep the tape level and comfortably close without pulling tight.
